First, remember that it is YOUR home. They have had their time to grow and now to learn to use their wings. Make them be responsible for their own stuff; cleaning their room, doing their laundry, etc. Be sure to have them pay some type of rent. If they are in school and working part-time, I'm more apt to not charge as much rent. But if they are only working full-time, or just part-time and not going to school, I charge more. They have complained, but I tell them, they can move if they so choose. Adult children should not be living off of Mom and Dad. Also, have rules in your home, and tell them they have to abide by them. Loving your children is not about giving them what they want. They may use "emotional blackmail", you know, "You don't love me or you don't trust me. Your a bad parent, etc.." Don't buy in to it. That will only cause anger and resentment on your part. Kids know how to play the guilt trip big time. Just love your kids, expect them to act like adults, and be strong. In the long run it will pay off. Good luck.
